Palette ist ein Horror-Thriller aus der Feder von Nishida Yoshitaka und eines der erfolgreichsten RPG-Maker-95-Spiele überhaupt. Es erzählt die Geschichte des Mädchens B.D., das an Amnesie leidet und gemeinsam mit dem Psychiater Dr. Shian versucht, seine Erinnerungen wiederzuerlangen. Palette erschien als Freeware-Spiel im Jahr 2000 und gewann den vierten ASCII Entertainment Software Contest. Der Entwickler erhielt nicht nur ein Preisgeld von 10 Millionen Yen, Enterbrain brachte das Spiel als Remake im Folgejahr für die PlayStation heraus.
