Nomos Cosmos ist ein rundenbasiertes Strategiespiel, sprich man kann forschen, bauen, Einheiten ausbilden und gegen Feinde kämpfen. Es ist angelehnt an Civiliation, Anno, Rise of Nations, Heroes of Might and Magic, verfolgt aber doch ziemlich andere Ziele. Die Goldversion des Spiels beinhaltet größere Karten, ein optimiertes Kampfsystem, ein Kartenaustauschsystem und ein 32 Seiten starkes Handbuch.
